Zoe Gurwitz is an oboist, English hornist, reed-maker, and private lesson teacher. She is a sophomore at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, working toward her undergraduate degrees in Oboe Performance B.M. and Psychology B.A. Zoe is a member of the SMU Meadows Symphony Orchestra and the SMU Meadows Wind Ensemble. Zoe attended Churchill High school and qualified for TMEA All-State, ranking fourth in the state. She was principal oboist of the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio Philharmonic Orchestra. She has attended the Juilliard Summer Winds oboe masterclass and the Hidden Valley summer oboe masterclass, which were both directed by Elaine Douvas. Zoe also has attended the Interlochen Summer Oboe Institute.
